Joe Goretti

Joe Goretti is a professional freelance drummer based in New York City. Joe's credits include Moby, platinum recording artist, Ne-Yo, Warner Bros. artist, Regina Spektor, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Member, Sam Moore, American Idol finalist, Anthony Fedorov, just to name a few. Joe has been seen and heard by millions playing on The Late Show With David Letterman, as well as AOL Sessions and WalMart; In Session.

Known for his groove and versatility, Joe's services are called upon from artists of all styles and genres. His professional experience covers a vast musical landscape that ranges from Rock to Funk to R&B to Pop to Jazz to Fusion to Smooth Jazz to Latin to Metal to Folk to Country to Klezmer to African Traditional to Drum & Bass and everything in between.

Joe has produced music for various artists as well as television and film. He is also a master of drum programming and sampling. Joe is a graduate of Berklee College of Music where he was a member of The Berklee Recording Ensemble. It is also where he studied with renowned drummer, Kenwood Dennard.

Joe teaches students from beginners to advanced. His lesson curriculum is flexible depending on the student. Some Topics include: Reading Technique, Rudiments, Timekeeping, Rock, Pop, R&B, Funk, Heavy-Metal, Latin, Jazz, Fusion Drumming, Polyrhythms, Double-Bass Drumming, Advanced Chart Reading, Professional Drumming & Studio Drumming.

Joe’s focus is teaching the aspiring student how to be an all-around real-world drummer. No matter what level the student, there is something here for you. Joe also teaches a complete course designed to teach advanced students how to become full-time professional musicians. Lessons are either taught at students homes or at Joe’s studio in Rego Park, easily accessible by car or public transportation. The studio is a state of the art Pro Tools studio which allows students to study studio drumming techniqies and to analyze their playing using Joe's creative, cutting edge audio recording techniques.
