Greg Ruggiero
Brooklyn based Jazz Guitarist Greg Ruggiero is a performing artist and educator focused on musical foundation and conception. Lessons are strongly geared towards understanding the guitar fretboard, Jazz theory and composition, sound and rhythm, and playing and interacting in a band setting. Ruggiero is on the New School University Applied Music teaching roster and is an educator at the Academy of Creative Music in Los Angeles. He has been a clinician at the University of New Mexico, Western Michigan State University and the 2004 guest artist and clinician at the Crossties Jazz Festival hosted by Delta State University in Greenville, Mississippi along with Mulgrew Miller. He has performed with Kevin Hayes, Greg Osby, Mark Turner, and Nasheet Waits, to name a few. In 2005, Ruggiero was honored to take part in the Jazz of Enchantment radio program and educational series as one of the top 20 Jazz artists associated with his home state of New Mexico, including such artists as Frank Morgan, Bobby Shew and fellow colleagues Rob Wilkerson and Matt Brewer. In May 2007, Greg’s debut record "Balance" was released on the Fresh Sound New Talent label.
